Transitions…

At what point in your life do you stop calling your parents “mommy” and “daddy”? You start off with ma-ma & da-da, then move to mommy and daddy, then to…MOM and DAD. My 3 year old has passed me into the “DAD” stage. Tonight we were sitting at the dinner table and she said, “Dad, will you cut the cob off my corn?” Nevermind the fact that she gets the corn and cob inverted, I am now “dad” to her. She is 3 going on 16…I’ve got some fun but long years in store for me!
